Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) under section 2003(a)(2) of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) Act Reporting and Disclosures

Kent State University (KSU) was awarded additional funding through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021.  KSU has used, or intends to use, at least 50% of the funds received under section 2003(a)(2) of the ARP Act to provide HEER III funded ARP-KSU Grants to students.

The U.S. Department of Education automatically allocated HEERF III funding to Kent State University (KSU) because the University received HEERF funding under the student portion of CRRSAA 314(a)(2).  KSU will use at least 50% of the funds received under section 2003(a)(2) of the ARP Act to provide HEERF III funded grants to students.   

This report covers all remaining HEERF fund expenditures for section 2003(a)(2) of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 for the Ashtabula Campus.  Therefore, this is the final report.

  • The total amount of HEERF I funding that KSU received to distribute to Ashtabula Campus students is $18,103.
  • The total amount of HEERF II funding that KSU received to distribute to Ashtabula Campus students is $45,111.
  • The total amount of HEERF III funding that KSU received to distribute to Ashtabula Campus students is $79,917. 
  •  The total amount of HEERF III funded ARP-KSU Grant Ashtabula that were distributed to KSU students as of October 15, 2021 is $79,917.  
  • The estimated total number of KSU students eligible to receive an ARP-KSU Grant Ashtabula is 1,220.
  • The total number of students who have received a Emergency Grant Award Grant is 42.
