Black Alumni Chapter Scholarship
Awarded to African-American undergraduate students with high level of participation and involvement in community service activities. Requisite: 2.5 or higher GPA. To be considered for the scholarship, individuals must complete the online Kent State University Student Financial Aid Scholarship Application.

Lefton Scholarship for Education Abroad
The Lefton Scholarship for Education Abroad will be awarded to students studying abroad. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must be attending a sanctioned KSU study abroad program. Student must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. To be considered for the scholarship, individuals must complete the Kent State University Online Student Financial Aid Scholarship Application.

Maggie Anderson Travel Scholarship
The Maggie Anderson Endowment Fund aims to assist talented writing students at Kent State University with writing-related travel expenses. Funds may be used to offset the costs of writer’s conferences, workshops, and readings, as well as to establish exchange programs with other organizations.

Run the World Scholarships
Any current Kent State student is eligible to win a RTW scholarship, regardless of their campus, college, major, or degree level. There is no required essay, and no minimum GPA requirement to win a scholarship. Just sign up for an individual race (Kent or Stark) or sign up for the Race Series to have 3 opportunities to win a scholarship. Scholarship recipients are randomly selected from the students who are registered for the race, whether they run on race day or not.  Students who sign up for the individual race are eligible for the scholarships awarded at that event; students who sign up for the Race Series are entered into the scholarship drawing for each race, as well as a Race Series scholarship raffle. 

Washington Program in National Issues (WPNI) KARE Scholarship

Mary K.W. and Marc Hutchinson Study Abroad Scholarship
Kent State University students who are in their Junior or Senior year of study pursuing a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising and enrolled in a university approved KSU Study Abroad Program are eligible. This scholarship is not renewable; however, Junior year recipients may reapply. Recipients must demonstrate evidence of strong need for financial support through the completion of the FAFSA form in the Office of Student Financial Aid, as well as academic success and engagement as expressed through grade point average and involvement in extracurricular activities.
