The 20-Year Club Service Awards Program is an annual event established in 1966 to honor classified and unclassified employees who have dedicated 20 years of continuous service to Kent State University.

The program celebrates these individuals on a fiscal year period and holds a special recognition ceremony after the close of the fiscal year. Since some unclassified positions are administrative, faculty members whose jobs also include administrative duties are included in this program. Some recognition programs target faculty and some target staff. The 20-Year-Club specifically targets Kent State staffers.

Each year friends, family and co-workers join in honoring inductees at an awards dinner. Upon reaching their 20-year milestone, classified and unclassified employees may select from a chair or lamp for their home or office, or a bench to be placed on campus in their honor.

Due to COVID-19 and the subsequent event cancellations, the 20-Year Club Induction Ceremony has been indefinitely postponed. However, Inductees will continue to receive their anniversary certificates and 20-Year Club gifts. 20-Year Club Inductees will be notified of their upcoming service anniversary the month prior to reaching their anniversary. The gifts are ordered on a quarterly basis, and the timeline will be indicated in the Inductees' service anniversary letters.

Congratulations to the 2021 Inductees! These inductees reached their 20-Year service anniversary between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
