Each graduate student's schedule of classes for each semester should be approved by the student's Academic Advisor. This can be done by scheduling a short advising session in the preceding term.
Beginning in Fall 2023, students seeking advice can contact one of the following advisors based on their graduate program of study.
- MS-CS and MA-CS students who need advice can see Dr. JungYoon Kim (jkim78@kent.edu ).
- MS-AI students who need advice can see Dr. Ye Zhao (zhao@cs.kent.edu).
- MS-DS (Data Science ) students who need advice can see Dr. Qiang Guan (qguan@kent.edu).
- For Math related courses, they can see Dr. Omar De la Cruz Cabrera (odelacru@kent.edu).
- PhD-CS students who need advice can see their dissertation advisor if they have one, otherwise, they can see the graduate coordinator, currently Dr. Hassan Peyravi ( hpeyravi@kent.edu).
