The Academic Success Center (ASC) helps students become independent learners through a variety of academic support options. Flash-tip: All ASC services are free to Kent State students.
Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides structured group study sessions led by a trained peer facilitator who plans games and activities to review difficult course concepts.
Sessions are offered multiple times each week giving students the opportunity to study with peers and develop course-specific learning strategies.

Scheduled - Looking for focused support? Choose one-time or recurring, weekly appointments; available for a variety of Kent Core mathematics, humanities and fine arts, social science and basic science courses.
Drop-In - Quick question? Drop-in is the answer! Available for many science and math courses.

This service is provided by student tutors from colleges and universities across Ohio. Tutors can help with content, but may not know about Kent State specific courses or professors. Supported courses vary each semester, but may include accounting, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, psychology and writing.
