Services We Provide

Mail Services is here to help ensure your campus mail is delivered accurately, securely, and on time. Below is an overview of the services we provide and what you can expect. 

Mail Delivery

Letter mail is delivered to department mail centers Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

To help ensure smooth delivery:

• Please make sure your department mail center is accessible during delivery hours.

• Clearly labeled mailboxes and updated contact information help prevent delays. 

Parcel Delivery & Accountable Mail

Mail Services delivers parcels and Accountable (barcoded) mail to department mail centers Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

What to expect:

• Accountable mail requires a signature at the time of delivery.

• A department representative must be available during delivery hours to receive and sign for these items.

• If no one is available, delivery may be delayed until the next scheduled route.

This process helps ensure the secure handling of time‑sensitive or high‑value mail. 

Envelope Sealing

Mail Services can assist with sealing envelopes as part of your mailing preparation.

Guidelines for sealing:

• Envelopes less than ¼ inch thick may be sealed using our machines, as long as the flaps are left open and unsealed.

• Envelopes more than ¼ inch thick must be sealed manually.

Please note: Manual labor charges may apply depending on the volume and thickness of your mailing. Contact Mail Services in advance if you have a large or unusual mailing so we can help you plan accordingly. 

Bulk Mail Processing – Preferred Vendors

For bulk mail projects, we recommend using one of our preferred vendors, who are familiar with university mail standards and requirements:

• Hot Cards

Using a preferred vendor helps:

• Reduce processing delays

• Ensure compliance with postal and university requirements

• Streamline coordination with Mail Services
