Show, Don't Tell

Graduating senior Joe Conti's documentary pulls back the curtain on Kent State's Digital Media Production major

Graduating senior Joe Conti wanted others to see what it's like to experience Kent State University's Digital Media Production major — the program that prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the dynamic worlds of film, television and digital storytelling.

So Conti, who grew up in nearby Munroe Falls, did what any visual storyteller would do: he made a documentary.

His behind-the-scenes look at DMP follows students and faculty from the classroom to the field to the editing booth, offering incoming students and curious viewers an authentic taste of what the program delivers.

Following graduation, Conti took to LinkedIn to reminisce about where he's been and where he's headed.

"After just finishing my position as a video producer with Kent State's DPAE, completing my capstone documentary, and winning best documentary in our student film showcase, I can confidently say I am excited for my future career and I look forward to whatever comes next for me!"
