Break a Leg! Theatre Graduates Team Up on Game Show

Friends Compete as Duo on Recent Broadcast of ‘25 Words or Less’

Marc Andreyko, ’93, and Chase Ziegler, ’13, attended Kent State University 20 years apart, but their shared love of theatre led them first to become friends and more recently to compete together on the national game show “25 Words or Less.”

Dubbed “The Show Where Every Word Counts,” “25 Words” is hosted by Meredith Vieira and allows two teams of celebrities and civilians to face off in a fast-paced word game with a top prize of $10,000.

Vieira brought their college connections to light when she introduced the pair at the top of the broadcast and mentioned that Kent State is a “fabulous school.”

Here’s a short clip of their introduction on “25 Words or Less,” courtesy of Dino Bones Productions Inc.

Andreyko said the two met when he returned from Los Angeles and visited campus during a time that Ziegler was directing a play as a student. Knowing that Ziegler was planning to move to LA, Andreyko gave him his card.

No spoilers, but you’ll want to watch all the way to the end!

Watch “25 Words or Less” locally at 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on WBNX-TV.
