KSURA Programming - Fall 2026
Wednesday, September 9: Captain Brady in Kent - What do we really know?
With Brad Bolton, Kent Historical Society
We will explore the life of Captain Samuel Brady with a focus on his exploits in Northeast Ohio. The presentation will show maps and drawings of him and his leap across the Cuyahoga River. It will also discuss the times in which he lived and how that affected his view of native peoples.
Wednesday, October 14: The Design Innovation Hub: Tour and Presentation of Recent Projects
With J. R. Campbell, KSU
This presentation will be held in the DI Hub (formerly the Art building). The DI Hub was created to support design thinking, project-based learning, technology-infused maker communities and the curation of cross-disciplinary collaborative teams to tackle "wicked" problems. It houses the Reactor makerspace, multimedia studios, classrooms, and collaboration spaces, that serves to connect students, faculty, staff, and community members with the tools, technologies, and support needed to turn ideas into action.
Wednesday, November 11: Dissecting the Election and its Coverage: The Journalism Perspective
With Mitch McKenney, KSU
This presentation will review the recent election coverage from a media and journalism perspective. This will include insights and analyses on how media and journalism covered Ohio and national issues and candidates in this rapidly evolving media environment.
Wednesday, December 9: Holiday Luncheon
KSURA’s traditional holiday luncheon will be held again at Roses Run Country Club. The doors open at 11:30am with the cost to be announced closer to the event. Come join us for this festive occasion to see old friends and perhaps meet new ones.
