Biography

I am an associate professor of social studies education. My interests include the implicit curriculum of authority in classrooms, global citizenship education, and working with issues of whiteness and racism in teacher education. Prior to completing my PhD in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education at Michigan State University, I taught both middle and high school in Washington DC.

Education

Ph.D. with specialties in Social Studies Education, Teacher Education, and Critical Theories of Education, Michigan State University.
M.A. with specialties in Social Justice in Intercultural Relations and Sustainable Development, Graduate Institute School for International Training.
M.Ed. in Secondary Social Studies Education, Keene State College.
B.A. in History, Albion College.
