Biography

Mark Schatz is an Assistant Professor and Foundations Program Coordinator for the School of Art at Kent State University. He received his BFA in Sculpture from the University of Michigan and an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Texas in Austin. His work includes sculpture, installation, drawings, and photography and has been shown around the country, notably in the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, and is included in the permanent collection of Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He has taught Drawing, Sculpture, Photography and Foundations courses at the University of Texas, San Jacinto College, and at The Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
