Point Depression in the Right Direction

All Employee Webinar

Kent State University is committed to raising awareness about depression in the workplace, reducing stigma associated with mental illness, and most importantly, bringing awareness and resources to support treatment and self-care.

Please join Lisa Kirby, MFT, PC, of IMPACT Solutions Employee Assistance and Work/Life Program (EAP), along with Kim Hauge, Kent State’s manager of employee wellness, on Nov. 10 from 10-11 a.m. for an informative webinar about Right Direction, an initiative of the Partnership for Workplace Mental Health.

In this webinar, you will learn more about Right Direction, an educational initiative that focuses on mental health (specifically depression), assessment tools, links and resources. We will further discuss how to recognize the early symptoms and understand the effects of depression on productivity. Most importantly, we will discuss the resources that are available to Kent State employees and their dependents to address depression.

If you, a co-worker or a loved one suffers from depression, it can feel like being lost in the woods. Right Direction helps put you on a path to the way out. Right Direction, coupled with supportive services provided by our EAP, Impact Solutions, can help put you back on the right path to recognizing symptoms and getting the care you need.

This webinar is ideal for all Kent State faculty and staff and counts as one hour of Beyond Compliance credit. Please register here.

Additional Webinar for Managers

On Nov. 15 from 10-11 a.m., join Kirby to discover available resources and steps that managers can take to aid their employees when depression might be present.

This webinar is ideal for all Kent State employees in a managerial or supervisor position and counts as one hour toward your annual Beyond Compliance goal. Please register for the manager’s session here.
