Heather Soyka received a research grant from the Society of American Archivists for a project titled “Exploring Cohort Models for Capacity Building in the Archival Profession." This project will build a common vocabulary of concepts that have been useful for helping archivists with their journeys of professional development, and identify a set of characteristics that can be used for building additional leadership and network capacity in the archival profession. Funding from the research grant will also provide support for an additional Kent State graduate student in the iSchool.
