Annual Survey on Unwanted Sexual Contact

Kent State University is committed to eliminating instances of sexual violence in our community. In conjunction with the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Changing Campus Culture initiative, we are asking for your participation in this short survey to help guide our joint efforts to better respond to and prevent sexual and relationship violence. The results of this survey will be kept confidential and will help Kent State identify needs for improved training, education, and support.

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. For participating in the survey, you will have the opportunity to go to a separate site and be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card of your choice.

Your responses are anonymous, and your name will not be connected in any way with your responses to this survey. No identifying information will be collected from the computer on which you take the survey. Please note, if other people have access to your computer, they might be able to view your web browsing history, including a link to this survey.

Because this survey covers the topic of sexual and relationship violence, some of the questions may be personal. If you feel uncomfortable you may stop at any point. If you need to speak with someone, Kent State offers the following services:

Thank you for your participation in this survey, which is available through March 25, 2022.

Questions regarding the survey may be directed to Tiffany Murray, Title IX coordinator at tmurray@kent.edu, or 330-672-7535.

March Employee Wellness Offerings Focus on Sleep

Getting enough high-quality sleep may be as important to health and well-being as nutrition and physical activity, but sometimes the pace of modern life barely allows us time to stop and rest. It can make getting a good night’s sleep on a regular basis seem like a dream. The good news is, we can take control over our sleep habits. Sleep experts say there is ample evidence to show that when people get the sleep they need, they not only feel better, but also increase their odds of living healthier, more productive lives.

Employee Wellness is here to support you in learning how to prioritize sleep with March programming focused on sleep and health. Employee Wellness is offering two webinars this month that focus on the relationship between sleep and weight and mindfulness exercises to promote rest. If it’s your finances keeping you up at night, join us for a webinar about saving for retirement.

If you are interested in working one-on-one with a mindfulness coach, financial counselor, or an expert in the area of healthy sleep, call your Impact Solutions Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at 800-227-6007. To learn more about the EAP and available services, you can take a virtual tour of Impact Solutions on March 15.

To explore mindfulness apps that may aid in winding down at the end of a busy day, visit this page. To view the full list of March offerings, visit the March wellness focus page.
