Sarah Jane Horvath

Sarah Jane Horvath lives and works in Kent, Ohio. She started offering private drawing instruction out of her home studio in 2017 to young adults in the community. In recent years her artwork has been an exploration of wildlife and humor with basic color elements paired with lone or paired animals, each infused with snarky, irritable, delicate, or otherwise relatable qualities. She has donated artwork to a variety of fundraising campaigns including the Alzheimer's Association and New Destiny Treatment Center for addiction. 

Sarah Jane Horvath received her B.F.A. from Miami University in 2006. She studied and taught in Cortona, Italy through the University of Georgia in 2008. Returning back to northeast Ohio, she earned her M.F.A at Kent State University in 2012. Sarah Jane is currently an Adjunct Instructor at Kent State University teaching beginning Drawing courses.
