  • This Friday, Nov. 28, get into the holiday spirit at A Burton Country Christmas, a festive community celebration featuring live music, local artisans, seasonal treats and family-friendly activities. Faculty, staff and their families are invited to enjoy the warm, small-town charm of Burton as it’s transformed into a winter wonderland. Join us for a cheerful kickoff to the season and a chance to support local talent and traditions.

  • As a student, a sweet treat can be more than just a sweet treat; it can provide comfort, excitement, and joy, especially during stressful and sad days. Over the past few months, one treat in particular has become a campus favorite: sugar cookies. Behind this trend is someone sensitive who deeply understands the complex life of a student, “just a mom,” as she describes herself. Susan Calvin, a food service worker at University Culinary Services, has now become a cookie artist.

  • The Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center on the Kent Campus is a bustling community hub, opened and named in 1950 to honor the brave Golden Flashes who fought in World War II. In celebration of its 75th anniversary, when you give a gift of $75, you will receive your own MAC Center replica arena in a commemorative box. The replica gives a 360-degree exterior view of the facility and a removable top, showing the new competition floor Kent State Athletics is debuting this year. Bring home your own piece of Kent State history!
