Police Academy Mission

The mission of the Peace Officer Training Academy fully aligns with the mission of  Kent State Trumbull in its dedication to providing excellent training and education towards a university credit program.  The strategic vision is to promote a healthy community and campus collaboration resting  on the following six pillars:

The Basic Peace Officer Training Academy  fulfills its mission by additionally meeting the following objectives:

• To teach our cadets the skills necessary to gain meaningful employment in the law enforcement field.

• To assist employers in matching their employment and employee needs with our graduates.

• To promote ethical, moral and altruistic practices in the administration of the academy.
