The Office of Accreditation, Assessment and Learning (AAL) has responsibility for directing the university's assessment process and for coordinating, planning and implementing strategies for assessment of major fields of study, general education, and academic programs.

AAL serves as the primary liaison to the university's regional accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission. Several university wide assessments are coordinated by AAL, including assessment of student learning, faculty/staff experiences and student engagement.
