Specialized accreditation of occupational/professional schools or academic programs is granted by agencies of accreditation established by national professional organizations. These agencies accredit or recognize only specific programs, collection of programs, or colleges, not the entire institution. Specialized accreditation may also be referred to as program or professional accreditation in certain academic areas.
