University-Wide Survey Reports

Academic assessment is a cyclical process of planning, systematic data collection, analysis, evaluation and action, which may include gathering evidence to enhance curricula, pedagogy and the student experience.  To this end, the Office of Accreditation, Assessment and Learning within the Office of the Provost oversees and coordinates the administration of a number of assessments, which (1) gauge student learning and practices associated with student success across students’ educational experiences, (2) assess faculty and staff experiences related to work and campus climate and (3) provide accountability and demonstrate compliance in external reporting and accreditation processes.  The purpose of conducting these assessments is to collect the data necessary to continuously improve the Kent State student and employee experience. If after reviewing the available reports you are still interested in obtaining further survey data or reports, please scroll to the bottom of this page for request guidelines.

Fulfillment of data requests will follow any Insitutional Review Board (IRB) requirements for a particular survey (if applicable), and general guidelines set forth by the Kent State Data Governance Council, Institutional Research, Office of Research Compliance and the University Registrar, which considers FERPA, aggregated de-identifiable data sets, and risk levels for survey respondents. The information provided will be limited to the data concerning the research study. Full datasets will not be shared. Data provided will be limited to specific questions and items related to the research questions and will be de-identified. Each dataset may have embargoed timelines to allow the principal investigators first publishing rights, which may affect data release dates.
