Kent State University’s Regional Campuses to Hold Information Sessions for Eastern Gateway Community College Students

Sessions available at Kent State campuses throughout Northeast Ohio

Kent State University’s Regional Campuses are hosting a series of information sessions designed to help Eastern Gateway Community College students navigate the transfer process and continue their education pathways.

Admissions and student service teams are proactively working to help maximize the transferability of credits and providing personalized support for current EGCC students. These open house information sessions provide EGCC students opportunities to meet staff members who will answer questions about credit transfers and assist with the application process.

The schedule of upcoming information sessions includes:

  • East Liverpool Campus: March 12, 5-6:30 p.m.

  • Ashtabula Campus: March 13, 5:30-7 p.m.

  • Salem Campus: March 13, 5-6:30 p.m.

  • Trumbull Campus: March 14, 4-6 p.m.

  • Tuscarawas Campus: March 19, 5:30 p.m.

  • Virtual Event: March 21, 5:30 p.m.

Kent State’s Regional Campuses offer many of the same associate degree programs as EGCC at locations in Columbiana, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, Ashtabula, Stark and Geauga counties, as well as online. EGCC students also have access to 22 Kent State bachelor’s degree pathways.

“Kent State is committed to supporting Eastern Gateway Community College students during this challenging time. We recognize the difficulty that students face when transitioning from one campus to another and we want to make this process as smooth as we can,” said Peggy Shadduck, Ph.D., vice president for Kent State Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. “Our Regional Campuses bring the power of Kent State University to your community.”

In an ongoing effort to support EGCC students during this time of transition, Kent State is providing expedited transcript reviews for credit evaluation and its transfer staff is providing one-on-one support to students. Also, a personal enrollment coach will help transition to Kent State, and scholarship/financial aid counseling is available.
