This exhibition brings together the fresh perspectives and rigorous studio practices of first-year MFA graduate students from: Carnegie Mellon University and Kent State University.
Joshua Kosker is a contemporary jeweler and visual artist based in western Michigan. His work explores craft, materiality and the body through unexpected and often ephemeral materials, challenging traditional ideas of value and permanence in jewelry and objects.
This summer, visitors are invited to explore the history and legacy of May 4, 1970, at the May 4 Visitors Center.
Tyanna J. Buie is an artist and educator whose work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions nationally.
Maura Wright is a Kansas City-based visual artist working primarily in earthenware clay and painted paper. Her ceramic vessels, still life sculptures and large-scale installations draw from Rococo ornamentation, interior fresco painting and the expressiveness of touch in American folk art.
