IN A FLASH: For Earth's Sake

Melissa Davis, senior horticultural activities director at the Herrick Conservatory, gave away small succulent plants. The conservatory's Annual Plant Sale is all next week Apr. 27-May 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. 

 

Flashes and members of the community showed their love for this big, old mudball we all live on at Earth Fest - Kent State's Earth Day Bash.

Nature-focused student organization as well representatives from regional parks and other ecology-minded set up tables offering information, fun activities and giveaways on Risman Plaza for Earth Fest.

Students in the Kent State University Society for Ecological Restoration showed visitors to their table how to whistle through an acorn cap. 

 

"Day of Paradise," hosted by the Flashes Activities Board invited students to celebrate the beautiful weather with island-themed games and challenges.

Later, the Haymaker Farmers' Market set up on the Student Green, offering an always-fresh selection of produce, flowers and locally made items.
