IN A FLASH: Happy April Fool's Day from Kent State Today

Happy April Fool's Day from KST

There is no "Sciuridae Swirlius" on Kent State's campus or anwhere else. Tri-color squirrels aren't possible in the way described in the original "IN A FLASH" post. Only black squirrels and gray squirrels can interbreed, as they are variants of the same species. Red squirrels are a different species of squirrel and cannot breed with black or gray squirrels.

Happy April Fool's Day, Kent State!  (With apologies to the Kent State Department of Biological Sciences, who knows everything there is to know about actual species of squirrels and other animals.)
