Garrett Holubeck's diagnosis with stage 4 cancer led to him being placed on life support just to keep his heart and lungs working.
Beating the odds, the Pittsburgh native completed his long journey of recovery when he crossed the stage Dec. 15 to earn a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology.
