Individual Income Tax Assistance

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons age 60 and up, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers (except those who need to prepare Form 1040NR) who need assistance in preparing their own tax return. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.  This site cannot prepare returns for international students on F or J visa's who have not been in the US for more than five years (See information on University of Akron site below)

Four Saturdays:  February 11, 2023, February 18, 2023, February 25, 2023, March 4, 2023 

9:30am to 2:00pm
