Welcome to the College of the Arts Advising!
While academic advisors are working on campus, virtual appointments promote social distancing and limit the need to gather in small indoor spaces. Virtual advising appointments are available via Microsoft Teams. Please continue to schedule your appointment in KSUAdvising by following the prompts and correctly answering all the questions. Be sure to use your KSU email address when scheduling your appointment.
In-person appointments will be available on a limited basis. If you have a special circumstance or need requiring an in-person appointment, please email your Academic Advisor directly to discuss your options for scheduling an in-person appointment. Please remember face coverings are required indoors for everyone, regardless of vaccination status, on all Kent State campuses.
Currently, there are no drop-in or walk-in advising appointments. If you have a quick question, need a schedule adjustment, or have an immediate concern, please email your academic advisor for assistance.
College of the Arts advising supports the university advising mission by providing comprehensive academic advising to our students. Advising is an ongoing developmental process, in which academic advisors partner with students and the university community to support students in attaining their goals.
Welcome from the Director
The College of the Arts Advising team guides students as they navigate the university through various processes and procedures on their journey toward graduation. There are many resources and tools available to help students monitor academic progress. Advisors are located in each school and in our central office. We recommend students schedule a meeting once a semester. This is a great time to discuss remaining requirements and special learning opportunities such as field experience, internships, or study abroad options.
Office hours for all of our advisors are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Appointments can be made through the online process.
