Living in the arts
Living In The Arts is a Living-Learning community located in Verder Hall. The FAC is targeted toward students who are interested in fine arts.
Verder Hall offers extra studio space and Art Studio Mentors who are special staff members available to offer guidance in the art studios.
Some of the benefits of the FAC are:
- Supportive peer group
- 24 hour studio space available
- Staff who understand the demands of art majors
- Programming and activities targeted at the arts
- Close proximity to the Art Building
- 24 hour computer lab
Programs for those students participating in the LITA include the graffiti wall, community murals, gallery shows, fashion shows, tutorials, paper making, card making, and jazz bands.
How do I join?
All current, incoming, or transfer students enrolled in classes at Kent State are welcome to choose Verder Hall to live in. However, students do not have to live in Verder Hall to be a part of the community. Fine Arts Community programming, services, and activities are open to all students living on-campus.
