MOVE-IN WEEK INFORMATION

Please revisit this webpage prior to move-in week to ensure that you have the most recent information.

Kent State University and University Housing acknowledge the success we had this past year in response to the pandemic. We are committed to keep some of the same plans in place this fall so we can ease back into a post-pandemic normal.

Please follow the Flashes Safety Principles to ensure the safest experience possible.

Current fall COVID-19 testing requirements may be found here.

Engage in conversation with your move-in party if any members are at a higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19. By the very nature of move-in day, there will be more people than normal in and around each residence hall.

If you are feeling ill or have a temperature (100.4°F/38°C), you should delay your arrival until a later date when you are feeling better or after consulting with a medical professional.

Residence hall keycard access requires a FLASHcard (student ID card). The FLASHcard Office needs you to submit your photo online so they can prepare your ID. Instructions and photo requirements are available here. Taking this step as soon as possible will speed up your move-in day experience. For questions, contact flashcard@card.edu.

For your safety and those around you, we ask that you stick to the schedule to allow for a smoother move-in experience.

During move-in, you will need a temporary parking pass. Your move-in parking pass will be mailed to you in early August. For more information on parking, please visit the Parking Services website at www.kent.edu/parking.

Please Note: Commencement will occur Saturday, August 19th at Manchester Field. Those moving in on August 19th between 8:00am and 4:00pm may experience traffic and parking congestion in certain areas.
