Caroline Hill, a Kent State University School of Fashion graduate, competed against students from institutions like the Parsons School of Design and Drexel University in the 2025 Supima Design Competition. 

Ababa Lorde, a senior in Kent State University’s School of Fashion, won a $50,000 scholarship from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), a New York-based nonprofit that is committed to supporting the American fashion designers of the future.

Academy, Emmy and Tony Award-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell met with students in Kent State's School of Fashion, viewed their designs and shared valuable insights during his time on campus for the Thomas Schroth Visiting Artist Series. 

White tie and tails, elegant gloves and satiny evening gowns were on the screen and on the runway when Kent State University and Focus Features collaborated for an early screening of “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale.”
