Research-Based solutions for the fashion industry

The Master of Fashion Industry Studies is a 30-credit, initial masters level degree for academic advancement applicable to the fashion industry. The M.F.I.S. Thesis, accompanied by a visual presentation/representation, will robustly address the highly interdisciplinary character of fashion and propose an innovative and pragmatic research-based solution for the fashion industry.

 Application Deadlines

  • Assistantships - Feb. 15, 2021
  • Fall 2021 Admission - April 15, 2021

Applications must be complete by these above dates to be considered for graduate assistantships. Applications for School of Fashion graduate program are accepted on a rolling basis. Priority is given to applicants who meet the above deadlines. Applications received after the deadlines are accepted as space allows at the discretion of the graduate faculty.

Kent State Offering In-State Tuition discount for graduate programs

Do you have a bachelor's degree from an Ohio Institution? Kent State is now offering in-state tuition for master's degree programs to anyone who has earned a bachelor's degree from an Ohio institution! Domestic master's students who are newly admitted for the upcoming Fall 2020, Spring 2021 or Summer 2021 semesters are now eligible to receive in-state tuition!
