April 6 is Kent State Day at the Cleveland International Film Festival

Kent State University Day at the Cleveland Film Festival (CIFF) is slated for April 6 at Tower City Cinemas in downtown Cleveland. Kent State is a sponsor of the festival and members of the Kent State community will receive $2 off any ticket to a film showing on that day. Kent State alumni, students, faculty and staff should use the code KSU to obtain the special discount. To see the films playing on Kent State Day at the Cleveland Film Festival, visit www.clevelandfilm.org/schedule/daily and select Wednesday, April 6. The annual Cleveland International Film Festival seeks to enrich the community by promoting artistically and culturally significant film arts through education and exhibition. This year’s event will take place from March 30-April 10

How to redeem a $2 discount for the 40th CIFF ticket purchase

Online: Use the code KSU when purchasing tickets at www.clevelandfilm.org
 (available 24 hours a day).
Phone: Use the code KSU when calling the Film Festival Box Office at 877-304-FILM (3456).
In-person: Use the code KSU at the Film Festival Box Office in the Tower City Cinemas lobby.  See store hours below.

$14 Cleveland International Film Festival Members
$16 Non-members
$14 Students and seniors (in-person only)

This discount is good for any festival film screening.  Restrictions may apply.

Store hours for the CIFF Box Office, which is located inside the Tower City Cinemas lobby:

  • March 18-30:  Monday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, noon – 5 p.m.
  • March 31-April 9:  Sunday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily. Friday to Saturday: 8:30 a.m.- 12 midnight
  • April 10:  8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

College Program:
Throughout the festival, the CIFF is offering free morning, matinee, and late night screenings to college students when they present their valid college I.D. College students can use code COLLEGE to receive $2 off the ticket price for other Festival screenings. Discounts are also available to students at the Film Festival Box Office.
