Council General Responsibilities
Note: The Education Abroad Executive Leadership Council is currently suspended, but will restart for the Fall 2021 semester.
To be a member of the Education Abroad Executive Leadership Council, the following participation is required:
- Serve as an ambassador of the College of Arts & Sciences and Kent State University
- Commit to 8-10 hours per week for council responsibilities
- Complete the weekly ELC class: International and Intercultural Foundations for Global Leadership, facilitated by the ELC advisor
- Complete all required tasks of assigned leadership position in the office
- Advise students on education abroad programs and opportunities
- Assist with various presentations and events to promote office initiatives
- Staff ALL scheduled IPEA events; class schedule permitting
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Complete midterm and final evaluations
- Engage in personal and professional development opportunities
