Pre-Departure Orientation

Before going abroad, students should attend a Pre-Departure Orientation. During the orientation you will:

• Get to know the students you’ll be traveling with
• Registering for the courses you will take
• Applying for visas and completing other necessary paperwork
• Discuss legal, financial and administrative matters with a university attorney, a financial aid counselor, and a study abroad program officer
• Hear from study abroad alumni to provide advice on planning, packing, food, travel, etc.
