Chemistry and Biochemistry Participates in Spooky Science Event

Department hosts activity station at Beech Creek Botanical Gardens

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry hosted an activity station at Spooky Science, entitled, "Matter is Molecules and Molecules Matter."  The Spooky Science event is held over four days every October on the trails of Beech Creek Botanical Gardens in Alliance, Ohio.  Families explore science through activity stations set in the stunning autumnal colors of the Gardens; a perfect way to celebrate Fall while learning about nature.  For more information about Spooky Science and Beech Creek, visit https://www.beechcreekgardens.org.

Department Chair Christopher Fenk said, "As a public university, it is important to be involved.  Events like Spooky Science at Beech Creek Botanical Gardens make education more accessible by bringing science to underserved communities and making it fun."
