We invite high school students and their families to visit the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry for Explore Kent Chemistry Day on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. High school juniors and seniors come from all over Ohio and neighboring states for Explore Kent Chemistry Day!
At Explore Kent Chemistry Day, our chemistry and biochemistry Faculty will discuss our curriculum, job prospects with our degrees and research opportunities available to undergraduates. Current Kent State chemistry and biochemistry majors will provide insight into Kent State college life. We will participate in science demonstrations and take a tour of our state-of-the-art instructional and research laboratories. Guests registered by February 4 will be entered into a raffle for awesome prizes! The visit will conclude with a question-and-answer breakout session over lunch for each concentration or degree program where attendees will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with faculty and students about the field of study they are most interested in.
