“I have suffered from anxiety and depression since middle school. I went to therapy and have been on medication for almost 6 years now. I used to be ashamed of having a mental illness, but I feel like it makes me stronger--I have had to push myself harder because of it. One of my biggest struggles is with negative self talk, and I'm still struggling with it...BUT I no longer self harm or struggle with restrictive eating. I celebrate every day, even if it's not my best day. One of my favorite quotes is, "these mountains that you carry, you were only supposed to climb." All I can do every day is to take things one step at a time and try my best!”
