DI Ecosystem Newsletter: Message from the Director

Hello DI Nodes!
As the Director of the Design Innovation (DI) Ecosystem, I want to take a moment to celebrate the extraordinary work happening across the DI Nodes. With 25+ makerspaces and resource labs spanning the Kent State University campuses, we are fostering innovation, creativity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration in ways that are truly transforming the KSU community. The strength of the DI Ecosystem lies in our collective efforts to provide accessible spaces and resources that promote experimentation and problem-solving. Whether you’re hosting challenge-based innovation projects, supporting new ideas from across disciplines, or providing hands-on learning opportunities, your commitment to our shared vision is invaluable.
I encourage each of you to take advantage of the benefits available to DI Nodes, including access to the DI Hub's resources, flexible student staffing, and marketing support. Don’t forget about opportunities like the multi-Node grant for collaborative projects or the $250 promotional support fund for events—these can make a big difference in expanding your impact. Please continue to engage with the DI community, share your successes, and utilize the vast resources of the DI Ecosystem. Together, we can keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible!
If you ever need support or have ideas for new collaborative efforts, don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for all you do to keep innovation alive at Kent State!
