Meal Plans Features

Meal Swipes

Meal Swipe

Meal Swipes give student's access into the three all-you-care-to-eat dining halls.  A cashier will simply swipe a student's FLASHcard when entering Eastway Fresh Food Company, The Market or Prentice Café and they are good to go! Students with All-Access meal plans will have an unlimited number of swipes into Eastway Fresh Food Company, The Market or Prentice Café, while students with Block meal plans will have a set number of swipes per semester.

Declining Balance

Declining Balance are the dollars included with a Meal Plan and are used like a debit plan. Grab Starbucks, a meal in The HUB or some quick snacks in any campus market! These dollars go directly onto your FLASHcard and can only be used at on-campus dining retail locations. Declining balance dollars rollover from semester to semester, until the student graduates or leaves Kent State University. Bonus dollars do not rollover from semester to semester.

Guest Meals

Guest Meals offer flexibility to treat friends or family to a meal in Eastway Fresh Food Company, The Market or Prentice Café!  Each All-Access meal plan comes with a specific number of guest meals each semester that are loaded directly on your FLASHcard.
