Advanced Degrees
Students can choose from three programs to achieve mastery in their expertise in Special Education ranging from researchers, to leadership, to educators.
- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): Designed to prepare highly qualified, experienced persons for leadership roles, and for roles as teacher educators and researchers
- Educational Specialist (Ed.S): Flexible to accommodate the needs of post-master's degree students who wish to assume leadership roles in schools and agencies that provide special education and related services to children, youth, and adults who have disabilities
- Doctor of Education (Ed.D): The Special Education cognate area in the Interprofessional Leadership Ed.D. program prepares students for leadership roles in improving the practice of special education
