What is the Clear Touch?

The Clear Touch is a large multi touch display designed for collaborative learning, presentations, and hands-on instruction. Similar to a giant tablet, users can engage with digital content using touch, the displays stylus, and built in apps. However, The Clear Touch isn't just a display, it features a fully capable Windows device built inside, along with an Android operating system, allowing access to a plethora of educational apps and websites.

How it Works

The Clear Touch functions independently from a connected computer. The Windows computer operates like any other desktop or PC, and can be connected with a Microsoft or Google Drive account to access presentations or lessons. Users can also cast content from their laptops or mobile devices allowing for ease of use with presentations.

The Clear Touch also supports annotations with the stylus over any content, allowing users to draw, highlight, or write notes anytime.

Components

Each Clear Touch display includes:

  • A high-resolution multi-touch screen
  • Built-in speakers and microphones (With the option to use different peripherals or connect a camera)
  • The Windows OS
  • An Android OS with a suite of educational tools
  • Wi-Fi and USB/HDMI connectivity
  • The option to download Snowflake, a software for interactive lessons and collaboration

Collaboration & Accessibility

Clear Touch supports up to 20 simultaneous touches, enabling real-time collaboration and independent use for multiple users. The display can also be lowered or tilted all the way into a table format by a electric motor, allowing users of all abilities to interact with the display.

 Software

Clear Touch displays can run a multitude of built-in and installable apps:

  • Snowflake: A visual lesson delivery platform with customizable activities, zones that can be split into four interactive spaces for multiple users, and fun puzzles.
  • Canvas: A blank space for drawing, note-taking, or organizing ideas.
