Dual or Multiple Degree Options
Kent State allows master's students to work on two degrees concurrently, and undergraduates can pursue early admission to a master's program. The following are approved for students in the School of Information:
- Master of Library and Information Science and Master of Business Administration (M.L.I.S./M.B.A.)
- Master of Library and Information Science and Master of Education, plus School Library Media licensure
- Master of Science in Health Informatics, Knowledge Management or User Experience (M.L.I.S./M.S.) -- These options are considered “informal,” but are available. Contact the iSchool Office at ischool@kent.edu or 330-672-2782 if you are interested in this option that allows students to share credits between two master's degrees.
- Combined Bachelor's-Master's Degree – Students can take up to nine credit hours of graduate level courses in their senior year of undergraduate study, counting the courses toward both their undergraduate degree as well as their graduate degree.
