The College of Aeronautics & Engineering (CAE) Career Service Office hosts two career fairs during each of the fall and spring semesters. There is a pilot-only recruiting career fair held at the Kent State Airport in the FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center (FAAC) and a CAE College career fair for all other majors in the college held in the Aeronautics and Engineering Building (AEB) on the Kent campus.
At various times throughout the semester, especially before the career fairs and in support of the First Year Experience classes that require students to prepare a resume, CAE Career Services hosts “drop-in” sessions in the lobby of the AEB. Students can get a quick resume review or ask interview prep questions on their way to and from classes.
In addition, when requested by faculty in advance, the members of the CAE Career Services office visit CAE classes to give presentations on resume preparation, how to find internships/co-ops and other professional development related information. The CAE Career Services Office hosts organizations, such as the U.S. Marines, once a semester in which they engage with students by exhibiting their flight simulators in AEB. Employers, for example, Goodyear and various regional airlines, frequently visit the AEB of FAAC to perform student interviews.
