Odessa Jackson

Headshot of Odessa Jackson

Odessa Jackson is a disabled, queer and just kind of weird MLIS student living in Kent, Ohio. In the last few semesters of her degree, Odessa is completing her thesis on quiet and sensory spaces for autistic patrons in public libraries as she is hoping to aid in the advancement of library services for people with disabilities. Odessa is interested researching any passing thought that flies through her brain (even if only for a moment), but more specifically she is interested in information needs, seeking and behavior; comic books and graphic novels as accessible information formats; library anxiety; first year students' experience with academic libraries; and Bolshevik disinformation campaigns.

Odessa doesn't have much spare time right now, but when she does you will find her crocheting, going on walks around campus, playing with her cat James, slowly domesticating her feral cat Arnold, roller skating, reading comic books and watching Looney Tunes. Free Palestine.
