    Biography

Tiffany Duck, M.L.I.S has over thirteen years of experience as a public library manager in various types of library systems. As an Executive Team member, she directed the day-to-day operations of multiple branches, built long-lasting relationships with community ambassadors and partners, and designed and helped to develop spaces that reflected community needs. In addition, Tiffany has worked in larger academic libraries as well as community college libraries. She enjoys sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with graduate students.

She has also delved into the business and technical side of libraries as a Customer Success Manager for Skilltype, a talent management software for libraries, where she helped libraries develop strategies and plans for developing their staff while helping to shape a new library software service.

She is a diverse book advocate as Tiffany has served as the Co-Chair of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association’s Literary Awards for the past seven years and the Chair of the eBook awards for the past six years. Currently, Tiffany owns and operates her library consulting business called LitDext LLC which is an agency that connects publishers, editorial agencies, and libraries to a diverse pool of experts to ensure their content, assessments, and trainings are more inclusive.

Based in Virginia, she began teaching as an adjunct instructor in January 2020 for the University of Alabama and the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Tiffany started teaching for Kent State's iSchool program in Spring 2023.
