Global Safari Fest

Travel around the world without leaving Kent State! "Safari" is a Swahili word that means, "journey" or "expedition", and at Global Safari Fest, be ready for a journey! 

Global Safari Fest is the largest event we put on each year. It is hosted in collaboration with the International Student Council in the Spring semester. At this event, attendees will be given a "passport" with which they can travel to many different countries during the country fair. Then, attendees will get to taste food from around the world and watch a showcase of cultural performances and fashion. 

The event is free to attend and open to all students, faculty, staff, families, and community members. 

Come celebrate the global community at Kent State, learn more about the world, make new connections, and have fun at this year's Global Safari Fest!

Be involved in Global Safari Fest 2027!

Students can be involved by hosting a table to showcase their home country or the country they studied abroad in. They can also be involved by performing or modeling during the cultural talent and fashion showcase.

Deadline to sign up is TBD. 

Deadline to submit a recipe for consideration for the dinner portion of the event is TBD.
