Gregory Tomei, BBA,  Tallmadge, Ohio, wrote, “I served as editor-in-chief and project manager for The Babcock & Wilcox Company’s 42nd edition of Steam: Its generation and use, the longest continually published engineering textbook in the world. This edition marks the 140th anniversary of its first publication in 1875. It has evolved to become a highly technical and comprehensive reference for advanced steam generation and emissions control technologies, steam fundamentals and related subjects.”

Alumni Association MemberSandra Halman Ranck, BSN,  Ashtabula, Ohio, was appointed by Governor John Kasich in March 2015 to serve on the Ohio Board of Nursing for a four-year term. She currently is the program administrator at the Auburn Practical Nursing Program in Concord Twp., Ohio.

Alumni Association MemberLinda Turner, BSN, North Ridgeville, Ohio, a registered nurse in cardiovascular services at Cleveland Clinic’s Fairview Hospital, was recently honored with a Health Care Hero nomination by Crain’s Cleveland Business. She was recognized for her exceptional service and dedication to Northeast Ohio’s health care.

Linda (Arvin) Caldwell, BS, Longwood, Fla., was promoted to director of marketing and development for the Office of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Orlando. Previously, she was the writer/photographer for The Florida Catholic.

Vanessa Candow, BBA, Crystal Lake, Ill., expanded her IT leadership role at Nokia to include Nokia's services business as well as R&D. She now leads an internal and external organization of 850 colleagues who deliver IT solutions and support for Nokia worldwide.
