Larry McClain, BS ’52, Tehachapi, Calif., wrote: “I entered the Air Force in 1952 and graduated from Test Pilot School in 1958. I flew various tests in the RF-4, T-37, F-100, etc., and in Vietnam in the F-4, 1968–1969. I returned to Edwards Air Force Base and ultimately became director of the F-15 test force. I ended my career as Commander, Area 51, and later became test manager for the B-2. Along the way I saw beauty beyond description, suffered moments of terror and loved it all.”
