The Zassenhaus Groups and Friends Conference

Kent State University, May 30 and 31st, 2026

The 2026 Zassenhaus Groups and Friends Conference will take place at
Kent State, on May 30 and 31st of 2026. The conference was initiated
by Professor Hans Zassenhaus in the middle 1960's and is currently
held on an annual basis. On odd numbered years it is held at
Binghamton University.  On even numbered years it is held at different
locations.

Following Prof Zassenhaus's tradition, we will welcome talks at all
levels; and while the main and central topic of the conference
continues to be groups, we are open to closely related topics like
loops, lattices, and more.
 

While there is no deadline for registering to attend, the deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, May 8.

The conference banquet will be at 6:00 pm on Saturday May 30 at Laziza's in downtown Kent.  The banquet will be buffet style that will include beef, chicken, and vegetarian options.  The cost includes soft drinks and tea and coffee.  The banquet will cost $60 per person.  Please sign up for the banquet by Friday May 22 so that we can have an accurate count.
