KSU Math Day for High School Students

Hosted by the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Kent State University

High school students are invited to join in for an afternoon of math, which will include a math competition, a math presentation, and pizza! You will also hear from current math majors about their experiences and career paths.

Event Schedule

• 4:00 – 4:30 pm Check-in, Welcome & Game Challenge

  Grab some pizza and work on a team game challenge!

• 4:30 – 5:30 pm Math Competition

  Two levels will be offered: one covering Algebra I and Geometry, and the other also including some Algebra II topics.

• 5:30 – 6:30 pm Math Careers Presentation and Panel

  Learn about math careers and current KSU math majors' experiences.

• 6:30 – 7:00 pm Awards Ceremony

  Following the presentation, we’ll announce the winners of the math competition!
